Valentines day Knit in Public
Our Valentine's Day project seemed to go down pretty well in Hobart at least, reports from Flinders Island are great and we are waiting to hear from our team in the North. 8 southern Tassie stitchers met in Salamanca Square to share a bit of love and good feeling with the locals on Valentine's day. Once we had finished last minute bits and pieces, people were starting to wonder what was going on.
We went for a 2 pronged approach, both dropping gifts on benches, trees, bikes, seats, and of course dogs! But also handing them out to interested looking people. First to go was the Clanger, presented to a very cute little girl, who looked pretty pleased with her Valentine!. The response we got was fantastic and after a spot of Brekky in Rendevous (and leaving Henry and Henrietta the norty bears on the table for the staff) we did another run through, dropping and giving out the remainder of our gifts.
Thank you so much to all who participated, either knitting, giving, or receiving. There are more pictures on our Tassie stitchers group page on Ravelry. And keep looking for our next project...Who knows where it'll be??

I was on Flinders Island that weekend and found one of your hearts. Would love to show the photos I took of a heart on the cape barron goose. Is there a way I can send the photos to this blog?
